1974 TRIUMPH SPITFIRE 1500

This Triumph Spitfire 1500 was treated to a major rebuild during 2000/2001 at which time it was the feature project car for a monthly classic car magazine.

Spitfire was completely stripped for rebuld 

Rusted chassis was repaired with new sections 

Brakes and running gear all replaced or refurbished 

Engine rebuilt with new pistons, bearings etc. 

Vast amounts of rusted metal replaced 

Full respray in Pimento Red cellulose

Body tub refitted to chassis

Fitting up - a long job

 

The Spitfire is now back in the workshop for a complete electrical refurbishment after which it will become the 'Restore and Modify' track day car.
